Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I've been doing web design for the
past several years. I have always had an interest in computers and started
doing web sites for friends and family. Having done it for long enough I found
myself in a position to pursue it in my spare time while providing technical
support fulltime.
Although my client base is not as large as I would like it to be it has grown
steadily over the years. And with that I have made lasting business
connections as a result. Most of my business has been thru word of mouth
although some have been a result of this site. It is my hopes that I can
continue to grow my web design business one day into a full time occupation.
Ultimately that will require more new customers who recommend me to even
more new customers. In an ideal world that would mean an exponential
amount of growth. Everyone now it seems has a web site or at least a
Facebook account.
Consider this? Have you ever thought about purchasing your own domain
name? Instead of using a social network site you could have your own web
site like John Doe.com to make your presence on the web.
With Social media so popular and I sometimes wonder why? Maybe the
personal information people are so willing to give up to whomever for free or
the lack of privacy. I don't know but I think in the long run everyone will own
there born domain name. And why not? You were born with it and it is yours.
Make it yours and create a web site that is as unique as you are.
